RARE Circa 1850's Oversized Cigar Box Clock made by Ansonia Clock Company.    The Ansonia Clock Company was founded by Theodore Terry and Franklin Andrews.    The initial production utilized movements from the previous firm of Terry & Andrews, and this particular clock has the extremely rare Time & Alarm Lyre movement.    The overall dimensions of the clock are 12 1/2 X 8 X 3 1/4 inches with a painted zinc dial that is 6 1/4 X 6 1/4 inches and a 5 3/8 inch time track.    The glass is original and a wonderful example of Ballston Springs a famous New York State resort/spa in the day.   Really a great piece of Connecticut Clock History.    The dial, movement, case are all original and original to each other.    Note the die stamped signed works and the wonderful early Ansonia paper label pasted to the backboard.    The clock runs just fine, however no guarantees after shipping.   S/H/I is fixed at $ 30 for domestic shipments via USPS Priority mail with full insurance value.   International at higher cost.
